No usb ports work. Steps to fix.


First, try a CMOS reset. For HP:

Turn off computer.

Press and hold power button for 25 seconds and then release.

Turn on computer.


If that doesn't work, try:


sfc /scannow

HP driver/firmware updates


If those don't work, try:

Removing all usb items in the device manager.


If that doesn't work, see if they work in the helpdesk profile.


If that doesn't work, try CMOS again to make sure it was done properly as that is the likely fix.
