CD/DVD drive doesn't show up as a drive letter

The CD/DVD drive may not show as a drive letter. A few solutions. 1. It may not display the drive letter in Windows Explorer under Computer on the left but if you click on Computer then it will show. Known bug from what I can see. Plus, upgrade to Windows 10. 2. Remove the optical device using Device Manager, scan for changes, and see if that fixes it. 3. Upper and Lower Filters may need to be removed. Reboot.
